We then place a healing cap and suture to improve the shape and healing of your gums.  
• Recovery: When you return home after the surgery, you will experience some pain and swelling. We usually prescribe medications and home remedies to manage your discomfort. Complete healing after surgery takes four to six months. You will visit our dentist occasionally during this period to check your recovery progress. Importantly, we check that your surgical site is infection-free and that fusion between the implant and the jawbone is occurring as expected
• Restoration: After healing and integration, we install an abutment that attaches the implant to your crown. This minor surgery requires about two weeks for healing to occur. After that, we restore your tooth with a custom-made crown, denture, or bridge
